GSF1200 total maintenance and more—we’re on the job.
First, we disassembled the steering. The oil had already drained out, leaving it bone dry.
We replaced the races and visually confirmed the press fit.
We packed both upper and lower with fresh Neutech NC100.
The adjustment nuts have slightly different feel between double and single, so it’s always a tough call.
We disassembled the front fork.
The fork oil looks clean, so that’s reassuring.
The inner tubes are in good shape—glad to see that.
We fabricated the upper oil cooler bracket. After making it, I thought that cutting away the existing bracket and welding in a new one would look the cleanest… worth revisiting.
