GSX-R1100 FCC clutch replacement — Deco-mainte request.

Since it’s been painted, we need to be extra careful — safety and peace of mind start with proper masking.

The area around the storage compartment looks pretty lived-in — if we have time, let’s take a closer look.

It’s not a big deal, but doing it versus skipping it makes a real difference. Fork oil works fine too.

Inverted forks tend to corrode on the inside, so we need to be careful.

The pin on the clutch side is pretty worn. This time we’ll rotate it 180 degrees. The lever hole is also worn and deformed.

The brake side was still in good condition. The aftermarket brake switch plate tightness is a bit questionable though. We’ll fine-tune it later.
The plastic pin that pushes the switch has a crack in it, so for now we’ve covered it with a light adhesive.

The side stand looks like it’s been off for quite a while.

We’ll figure out how many shims to add between the base and stand sides.

The stand side can open up or wear down too, so we’ll adjust and check the feel.

Dirty shoes look shabby, so

we’ve touched them up.

We’ve also lubricated the spring action area and replaced the stand lock nut for extra peace of mind.
