Goose 350 rear caliper / master / wheel bearing / rear disc and more work.
If we switched this to a multi-reflector setup, it would really clean up the look.

The hook mounting bolt had broken off and wouldn’t come out. You can really see the effort that went into it.

In the end, we drilled through the center to extract it. We chamfered the edge thinking it would help, but it got all rough and kept getting bigger… Sorry about that.

The condition looks better than you’d expect for the mileage and year.

From what we saw when we opened it up, it seems about right for the age. It’s in relatively good shape.

Caliper actuation problems, especially return issues, are often caused by the dust seal dragging.

While seal degradation can be a factor, the main culprit is usually corrosion in the body grooves. That corrosion builds up and pushes the seal inward from the inner wall, causing it to twist and drag, which is what creates the stiction.
With anodized calipers, performance and condition tend to be relatively stable.
