The tail pipe side bracket broke, so let’s fix it.
The existing bracket broke and curled up, so we’ll make a patch and keep costs down.
The shape is distorted, so we’ll reshape it to make repairs easier.
Let’s apply the patch and weld it.
Since we’ll be grinding it down, I’ve applied plenty of weld buildup.
If holes or voids appear, we’ll need to try again.
We planned to apply a patch, but since we also need a support structure and making it floating would just cause it to break again, we went with a band-style mount instead.
We fabricated a simple connecting bracket,
and the right side might be less prone to loosening. Here’s how it looks.
