Continuing with the Yoshimura backstep installation. It’s so dusty—I really don’t like that.
If I could cut it with a bit more finesse and get it right to the edge, I wouldn’t have to grind away so much material. Lately, the world’s gotten convenient—are people using masking tape for protection?
The SPL grinder I picked up recently is super handy. It goes at it like shaving—really aggressive! And the finishing rubber stone, even though it’s the coarsest grit, comes out shiny and smooth. It feels great. Yeah, I don’t want it rough.
It’s a simple shape, but I made and welded it in a straightforward way without too much fuss.
I did the right side the same way.
With the clamp fixed like this, it shouldn’t disappoint. Now for the touch-up pen—I wonder if they have this color? To be continued.
