Let’s install the Watanabe SP2.
The included bracket makes removal difficult. We don’t take it off often, but it gets in the way surprisingly when we remove the head cover. I made a lightweight box-shaped bracket.
I bent it in three places on the V5 and also did the usual deburring.
I also welded on a nut to make removal and installation a little easier.
No issues with the tank clearance. It’s a bit hard to see, but we’ll route the cord horizontally.
I always struggle with where to place the Watanabe unit.
The materials arrived yesterday, so this time I finished it with sheet metal and round stock.
Next I plan to secure it with foam, dual lock, and cable ties.
