We’ll clean the calipers. The ZZR is already a classic bike now. Corrosion is showing up all over.
Cleaning the disc holes once in a while feels nice too.
It’s pretty unglamorous, but I think it’s good.
We wipe it down repeatedly to get it clean.
Let’s do the rear the same way.
The fluid is nice and clean. Ideally once a year, or at least every two years. I think that’s best.
It was replaced two years ago and is in good condition, so we’ll reuse it.
You can actually tell that the work wasn’t done today (11/16).
It wasn’t that dirty, really.
Some were cracked, so we replaced all the bleeder caps.
The caliper connecting bolts were heavily corroded, so we replaced those too.
It looks great and feels good. Steel with MDN.
We cleaned the speedometer cable and re-oiled it. If it doesn’t break, it’ll last a long time.
We cleaned and oiled the fork, which also adds rust protection.
We thought about reusing the stand spring, but it didn’t work out. Too bad.
We thoroughly cleaned and oiled the chain.
