We’ll also rinse the radiator a bit with a steam cleaner.
Let’s remove the levers occasionally, clean them, and apply lubricant. If they’re properly lubricated, both the levers and body resist wear much better.
The handlebar is rusty. Let’s strip it, apply rust preventative, and reassemble it.
We’ll also replace the brake pedal fluid.
While we’re at it, we’ll polish it—it feels great.
We’ll also disassemble and lubricate the pedal and sidestand.
Air filter replacement. Once we remove it, we replace it as standard. It surprisingly accumulates oil and gasoline mist along with dust.
We’ll also replace the coolant.
Finally, we’ll replace the fluid and we’re done.
Basically it’s disassembly, cleaning, and lubrication. I’m really convinced that preventing rust in the first place is the most important thing.
