Jumping around here and there, I’m not sure how far we’ve gotten with the updates…
We applied Cerakote to the bottom case.
Since it’s an ultra-thin coating, there’s no “thick” feeling and the finish is extremely smooth and sleek.
To describe it, it’s kind of like “liquid anodizing?”
We also checked out the KZ1000 that had the same treatment applied to its frame the other day, and this is definitely the way to go.
Unfortunately, there are no images. No runout and everything looks good.
We’re also returning the SPG to standard this time. Vacuum purge and we’re done.
The speed gear looks like it was pinched in the past. We cleaned it up and lubricated the cable.
It’s broken, so they asked us to fix it… quite a bit of damage.
We tapped it gently and welded it. The gaps didn’t line up perfectly, so it came out like this.
Now we’re replacing the rear disc.
As expected—when it gets to this point, it’s time to replace it. Yeah, they really know what they’re doing.

Brings back memories… the old paint finish.
Lately it’s been this way. Absolutely beautiful.
We’re also replacing the gear shift terminal. I wonder if the spring has been changed?
