The master parts have arrived, so let’s get to work.
Here it is. It worked out pretty well considering I went in blind. The rear was different though…
That said, since this is brake work, I’ll verify all the dimensions before using it.
This is a master without a snap ring. And it just won’t come out…
Can’t push it, can’t pull it—what to do? I fussed around with it and somehow got it out using an unexpected method. Next time will be easy.
I want to press in oil seals and bearings with parts that have precise dimensions. I think it reduces mistakes.
Clean up the fine details before assembly.
When the vehicles we work on stay clean and in good condition for a long time, everyone’s happy—maybe.
