When you say PINGEL, you mean Guzzler. Though I’ve only ever seen one person actually using one.
What should I do with the petcock? It’s gotta be PINGEL, right? I spent a few days wrestling with that decision.
Come to think of it… I had a Guzzler… on a GSX1100E tank…
I pulled it off the shelf and… the pitch seemed to be the same… if memory serves! It was a perfect 44mm fit.
Since I don’t know when I’ll use this tank, I’ll gratefully put it to good use.

Looking back, that was crazy. Iron filings getting inside, taking forever, gasoline in the tank and the risk of fire—it was scary.
The truth is, neither the person doing the work nor the customer likes it.
How I do it now is a trade secret, but the bore enlargement is done clean and in a flash!
If you use your head a little, it’s easy. I went through a lot of trial and error before I got it down.

Hmm… the knob looks cheap… it doesn’t have enough rugged character like this.
Pull the pin and it comes apart. There’s a ball, a seat, and a spring, so don’t lose them.
Mill the pin down to 1mm remaining, then polish—that’s the process.
I feel like the quality has improved.
The image sizes are different, but the milled version definitely looks better! One step forward.
