GS1200SS inspection, oil-cooled maintenance, FCROH wiring organization and more—quite the job list.

This time, let’s go with the approach of not disassembling all four.

The dirt is pretty light.

No rust either, so we’re in good shape.

Float valve seat—O-ring replacement only.

The tip, body, and pin are all fine, so we’ll reuse them.

The spigot gets polished and reused too.

The valve seal was pretty torn up. Good timing to replace it.

The new one pops right up and seals tight—you can really feel the difference.

The backing plate coating is peeling off too—that’s a job for next time. For now, we’ll deburr it and reuse it.

Out of the four slides, one had an open bearing (with shim).
Not sure why.

The throttle cable looks in good shape, so we’ll reuse it.

Then we’ll assemble everything while checking that it moves smoothly, verify the oil level, do a visual sync check, and note down the jets and settings.

And that wraps up the carburettor.
