Bandit 1200 Newtech Oil Change Self-Point Maintenance

Annual pre-touring inspection request.
Even though it hasn’t been ridden that much, it still feels good to freshen things up. So we went ahead with the oil change.
Newtech NC50 10W-50 &Oil filter.
We wiped down the drive chain thoroughly with a rag soaked in solvent oil, then applied a two-coat treatment.

The idea is to first penetrate deep with a thin chain oil and wipe it off, then coat it with a thicker chain oil to prevent splattering.

Thin chain oil has great penetration and smooth action, but we wanted to dispel the impression that it doesn’t last.

The brakes are essential. We cleaned and checked them. No photos, but we washed the rear as well.
We degreased the brake discs and then took it for a test ride to bed in the pads.
We replaced the brake fluid. Golden Cruiser DOT4
The air filter was clean, so we reused it.
The spark plug was clean too, so we reused it.
We also waterproofed the turn signals. That covers all the work for this visit.
