The damper on the GSX-R1100K I’m currently working on had broken off, so when the replacement part arrived, I installed it.

It’s rubber, so some wear is inevitable, but 1,300 yen per piece? Hmm.

I’m a Misumi fan—they offer free shipping even for a single screw, which is fantastic.
Their website has a sleek design that I like, but honestly it’s “super hard to read and hard to search.”
So I decided to buy this one.
The shank is long, so I’ll cut about 10 mm off it.
The screw hole on the cowl mounting side is shallow, so you need to be a bit careful.
It’s about 2.5 mm shallower.
The bolt was changed this time and it worked as-is.
The contact surface is flat and metal, so unlike the original, you shouldn’t get the screw threads stripping completely.
Since it makes face-to-face contact with the cowl, the tightening feel was good.
Whether it’s good or bad is up to your own judgment.
