It was so warm the other day, and now it’s cold and rainy again.
I really hate it.

We’ve had so much rain this year. I don’t care if it’s cold, I just want the sun to come out.

We’re replacing the battery with a SHORAI Battery this time.

Is it one of those common issues when you put a SHORAI on an oil-cooled bike?
The frame-side terminal is bent and won’t make contact. We have to straighten it and cut it—it takes a bit of work.

We adjusted the height difference with sponge.
Labeling the replacement date with a label maker might make things easier down the road.

So what exactly happens when you modify or add ignition components?
Roughly speaking…

The benefits are:
• Better starting, supposedly
• Better fuel economy, supposedly
• You get a fresh ignition system
• Slightly more torque and smoother feel
• You can adjust ignition timing, rev limit, and limiter cut (AS UOTANI)

The drawbacks are:
• Less space for other parts
• It costs money
• There’s a risk of failure
*OKADA PROJECTS products have safety circuits, so even if the unit fails, it can still fire the plugs.
*With AS UOTANI, you can mail it in and they’ll check the unit and coil for you.
And so on.

Keep the wiring as clean as possible so it’s easier to remove next time.
Try to minimize installations that make you think, “Ugh, I don’t want to take this off again.”

The fuel hose layout on GSX-R models is difficult to attach and remove in stock form.
We change it like this every time.

I make the hose longer and reverse the layout from stock. (It’s a bit hard to explain, I know.)
With this layout, attachment and removal are easy, and if the hose ever gets pinched, you can see it from outside.
