Today was another day of coming and going.
I thought I’d finish the GSX-R1100K in between, but as expected—being the person I am, I couldn’t get it done ( ;∀;)
Amazon LED bulbs—1 LED white. I’m somewhat curious how much brighter it would be with 3 LEDs.
TURN and FUEL are still using regular bulbs.
I went with blue for HI to get more of a blue tint.
The position lamp socket shape is… different. That was an ordering mistake ( ;∀;)
For some reason, after swapping to LED, the OIL light won’t come on.
The fuse is fine and 12V is getting to the ON terminal.
My diagnosis is that the ground connection is marginal, but I’ve only done a bulb swap—nothing else.
My guess is I somehow messed up the bulb connector terminals.
Temporary connections are a hassle, so I grabbed a meter harness from my junk wiring collection, but it still won’t light up.
Why… when all I’m doing is changing a bulb?
The result was that the oil pressure switch decided to die at this exact moment.
Can that really happen? Well, I have a used one in stock and gaskets too, so it’s not a total loss, but…
