Unexpected? Surprisingly deep custom rabbit hole? GSF1200S Harada muffler titanium full exhaust GSX-R1100 round oil cooler TMR SD Arty single seat Engine won’t start for mysterious reasons? And much more.

Everyone’s favorite—the GSF1200… and it’s black, an S model, and an import.
It’s quite rare.

We really don’t see many of these anymore, do we?
Maybe it’ll become like the 86… or maybe not.

After some twists and turns, it looks like it’s going to end up pretty heavily customized.
*Please note that Decoboco is not a custom shop, so we do not accept custom work.
Sorry for the confusion.

First of all…

It came in like this, and honestly… it has a bit of a puzzle-like quality to it.
Better than having scattered carburetors brought in separately, I suppose.

It’s pretty much 100% temporary, but let’s go for it.

Oh! A layout I’ve never seen before? I wonder why it ended up like this…
Oil cooling really is deep, I think to myself.

We’re installing the Harada muffler full exhaust. It has quite an aggressive bend to it.

Let me do a quick check of what’s inside. I see.

Very beautiful.

I want to keep the oil cooler bracket as thin as possible.

If it’s thick…
• The cooler sticks out further forward
• Increased risk of interference with steering angle and such
• If it’s angled, cooling efficiency drops
And so on… or so I think.

The cooler bracket is an A+B strategy. SUS304 T=2MM*2=4MM approach.
Vibration dampers are absolutely necessary.

I’m determined to keep it flush no matter what. That’s the feeling here.

Whether to lightweighting it is something for another day. I use a reverse-thinking stud approach each time.
*It’s different every time.

Whether lowered or raised is fine. Well, we probably won’t lower it…

It takes time but looks subtle once installed…

It’ll probably continue gradually.
