Our shop’s tester isn’t compatible with LED/HID (new light sources), so we can’t measure exact values.
However, even with our tester, it’s generating 17,000 cd—inspection-passing level.
Now, what kind of numbers do you think it hit on the inspection facility’s tester??
This is a video of an LED headlight bulb with a direct battery relay connected.
Before and after installation, it was 17,000 cd. The relay had no effect on brightness.
*It might help if there’s flickering.

When we measured it at the inspection facility today… we already knew it would pass, of course…
But when we nervously checked the numbers…
Left 29,000 cd, right 28,000 cd—both were coming through!!!
Depending on the condition of the headlight lens, I think installing this could pretty much clear up any headlight issues.
