The typhoon passed, right? It feels like we’re going backward…
I’d like to update the continuation from the other day. It doesn’t look like we’ll get much sun this week either.
It’s subtly humid.
As you can see in the video, there’s a bit of rattling, so I replaced the damper.

Lift the front and check the steering operation. While checking for rust on the inner tubes…
The process is cleaning, oiling, and rust prevention. We want it to work smoothly with just a little lubrication and no rust.

Remove the lever and clean and oil it. Dust tends to accumulate, even if you don’t notice.
When the control systems operate smoothly, it feels really good.

The side stand is used every time you mount and dismount.
When it pops out smoothly and retracts with a snap, it looks smart. Poor operation can turn minor inconveniences into real fatigue.
Clean the throttle too and oil it lightly for rust prevention.
It won’t be a dramatic difference, but hopefully the cleaning effect improves a bit.
Always wear a mask when doing dusty work.

Carburetor synchronization was barely needed. Once you set it, it doesn’t go out of sync easily.

I replaced the brake fluid with Golden Cruiser T4.
Sometimes bleeding from the master side can make the feel crisper.
Since I did an OH on the rear master, let me vacuum bleed it thoroughly to be safe.

Checking fuses occasionally might boost your confidence a lot.
They’re quite discolored, so I’ll replace them.

I added a spare to the empty slot. I mark spares with a light blue marker.

I cleaned the chain and applied thorough lubrication.

Basically, sandwiching rubber between metal bolts and tightening isn’t really recommended.
The tightening is ambiguous, and as the rubber compresses, it loosens.
I could use thread locker, but… I prefer not to rely too heavily on chemicals.

I really wanted to use a damper, but there’s not much extra material.
I slightly enlarged the inner diameter, inserted a sleeve, and sandwiched the rubber. This keeps it firmly in place.

The battery was a bit low.
The charging voltage was 14.3V at 2000 RPM.

Occasional cleaning might be a good idea.

The headlight measured about 28,000 candlepower.
Tomorrow I’ll get the inspection and take it for a test ride to finish.
