It’s wonderful to have the luxury of wondering which one looks better, top or bottom.
Anyway,
thanks to the master, this website is finally running super smooth.
Now I might actually feel like updating the blog. Seriously, thank you so much.
First, let’s check the meter.

First, let’s inspect the basic cable.
Lubrication looks good, and it’s not broken.
But when I turn the cable by hand… it won’t turn? What’s going on?

When I removed the meter assembly and took off the meter-side gearbox…
Oh no, powder everywhere. This is bad.

This type of meter converts the direction of rotation. When the gear on the meter side wears or breaks, the engagement gets worse or debris locks it up, causing problems.
It works when I turn it by hand, so the meter itself isn’t broken… but what do we do about the meter-side gear? Let me consult with the meter shop.
