First, I’ll replace the battery.
The battery we’re using is our usual Pro Battery gel type.
Since this era uses liquid-type batteries, I think it’s best to switch to gel-type as soon as possible.
I think liquid-type batteries have more drawbacks overall.
Refilling and checking the fluid is a hassle, and the sulfuric acid and hydrogen gas cause corrosion.
If you want to keep your bike in good, clean condition, it’s best to avoid using them as much as possible.
Be sure to remove the breather hose as well.
Initial charging of the battery is also extremely important.
Attaching double-sided foam tape under the battery terminal really improves workability.
I’m replacing the tank molding with a genuine Suzuki part.
This part is excellent, but lately prices have skyrocketed and stock has run out repeatedly, so we’re considering alternatives ( ；∀；)
The fuel sensor was acting up, so I’m swapping it with a used part the customer brought in.
Replacing the connector with a 110-type improves workability when removing and installing the tank.
The fuel gauge is working perfectly too ( *´艸｀)
The air filter is dirty and I’d like to replace it, but the genuine part has been discontinued. I haven’t found a replacement yet, but I’ll have to look for an aftermarket alternative.
I’m really fed up with Suzuki’s poor parts availability…..
