So what exactly do you want to change? (‘;’)
If it’s consumables
that’s a bit disappointing, quite disappointing actually, but it depends on which area you want to refine.
Model-specific parts are easy to get and affordable,
but I feel like your individuality and intent might get muddled.
Footpegs? Are off-the-shelf ones better? (´∀`*)
Height, limb length, and preferences all differ, I think.
For supersports, proven products have a higher chance of delivering results in terms of lap times.
If you fine-tune it all the way, it’ll probably end up being custom-tailored, but…
What about naked models?
To begin with, the seat height is awkward, the handlebar is as-is—is that really okay? That’s the kind of position you’re in.
Well, you end up choosing footpegs first …
and that might be one reason you get hooked.
Once you swap to aftermarket ones, the footpeg position is pretty much fixed.
Even if you adjust with the seat and handlebar, if you’re still not satisfied, you often end up coming back to the footpegs.
What do you want to do and how? Getting clear on that might actually be fun.
Getting into position talk here.
Should the handlebar be closer or farther? Higher or lower?
In that case, should the seat be high or low? Nose up or nose down? Firm or soft?
Footpegs high or low? Forward or back? Bar length? Diameter?
There’s no end to it.→ I get why people just bolt on an off-the-shelf part and call it a day.
If you could simulate it, of course it’d be way more fun. But reality doesn’t work that way.
It’s fun to imagine “if the handlebar were one notch lower, it’d feel like this~” and actually ride it. The more you think about it, the more your bike becomes your own custom machine, I reckon.
