Starting with the easy stuff first… & removing parts

A helmet holder that apparently was featured online…
It should fit if it matches the slot.
It could fit, but…
On the inside it hits the frame
On the outside it would get in the way of your heel…
Should I just install it as is? I wouldn’t put it on mine… = I’ll just go ahead and do what seems best.
I already cut it off anyway… so I’ll just go with what seems reasonable and install it.
After installing it, I realized the helmet holder’s key insertion angle should be straight rather than 90 degrees like in the photo.
*It’s hard to insert the key when the helmet is on.
