Avoid connecting with the included multi-tap or shared-ground wiring as much as possible.
Please make connections clean and smart, like a multi-outlet power strip.
I think there’s virtually nobody who installs just one electrical component.
Every time you add an electrical component, you have to hunt for a power source with a multi-tap and share-ground the negative battery terminal or similar.
The hunting and connection work take more time than you’d expect, and the appearance and serviceability both suffer.

Once it’s in, you can draw power and ground in parallel from it.
