I tried it out, and it’s incredible! I can’t imagine cleaning without it anymore.
Most impressed I’ve ever been with Makita! (personal opinion) It’s not an exaggeration to say that.
The more often you clean, the more you’ll be amazed by this.
For now, just a product introduction
If you’ve ever wanted to be a Gundam pilot, this will really excite you. It’s seriously beefy.
It’s quite lightweight, but the size gives it a sense of weight.
The longer it is, the more that’s true.
Without battery and with dust collection bag, it came to 3.1 kilograms. (our measurement)
The nozzle length at the tip is adjustable.
Just press the button and pull. As shown in the image, there are tabs so it stops at a good position.
To be honest, the slide isn’t smooth. After spraying silicone spray and wiping it down, it became quite smooth.

Lever switching makes suction and blowing easy to operate.
The larger lever also gives excellent operability.

Like an accelerator, it’s infinitely variable, so if you want full power, go full throttle!
For gentler operation, just squeeze it a bit.
There’s a lever on top that, when pushed forward, locks it at full power.
That’s useful if you’re continuously blowing.
Dust collection bag.
Some weirdo might use it as a shopping bag, right?
Hook it on the tab at the tip and just lift it up.
It clicks right in.
Then press this lever down and it peels right off.
You can do almost the whole action with one hand—that’s good design.
The large zipper makes it easy to empty the trash.
Wish list for Makita:
I’d like a lid for the bag when it’s detached.
People who store it with the bag attached won’t need one, but I think it’s easier to store when it’s off.
After cleaning, dust puffs out, so a lid would be really nice.
How about this?
I used it on/off for about 20 minutes, mostly at full suction.
With on/off, I’d say you can get 30 minutes out of it, so for a home or shop, it’s already amazing. The manufacturer says 7–8 minutes, though.
Honestly, I think you could even clean the shop with it.
It’s a bit loud, though.
After cleaning, everything gets a bit dusty.
A microfiber cloth wipes it clean in no time.
Old ones that aren’t good enough for the bike work fine.
