Well, what should I do about this… oil cooler hose.
This is a task I’m pretty weak at.
Making it isn’t the hard part, but choosing the right fittings gives me a headache.
If it just had to fit and work, that would be easy, but
when I think about the appearance and the oil filter and all that, it gets complicated.
The easiest choice. Reuse.
Thanks to the loose radius on the hand-bent exhaust pipe…
the hose fitting ends up pointing forward, which looks uncool.
I could route it between cylinders 1-2 and 3-4, but I’d rather avoid the really hot spots.
Plus, it’s a pain to remove the exhaust pipe…
Should I do it or not…
I’ll measure carefully so I don’t mess up, and it should be fine… vroom.
I nailed the fit perfectly.
If I leave it like this, it definitely won’t last, so I’ll add a lower support bracket and reinforce it if needed.
The deeper I dig, the more I wonder what’s fastest and what’s best.
The steering angle is restricted, so there’s plenty of clearance.
Finding the right fittings is incredibly difficult… I’ll think about it for a bit.
