Over the past week or two, I’ve ended up with three of them.
Cordless is really incredibly convenient.
It reminds me… making phone calls in front of the phone? Those feelings (back when we only had home appliances) (*´з`)
It doesn’t feel like that long ago though (*´ω｀*)
Of course, the benefit of no cord (*´ω｀*)
Without a cord, the hassle of moving, taking out, and putting away tools is drastically reduced.
Winding up and bundling cords is such a pain, right?
Even when stored in a case, you still have to keep the cord neatly organized…
Battery technology advancement in recent years has been remarkable.
It’s not just batteries—electronic components in general seem to be advancing tremendously.
More powerful than expected, quiet (maybe because it’s new?), lightweight—and when you add cordless to these benefits, you have to wonder what the point of using 100V power is anymore…
With extreme weather becoming more common in recent years, the convenience of being able to use tools even where there’s no power supply seems really important.
For DIY, garage work, and circuit work—cordless is the way
The barrier of needing a 100V power outlet or an air compressor was something that had to be overcome when working on-site or doing DIY.
But with tools becoming this powerful, they have specs that are more than sufficient to compete.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they started selling cordless drill presses soon.
I’ve only used the heat gun so far though…
Cordless is truly convenient.
I go for vehicle inspections often, so I use the heat gun to remove stickers.
But taking it out and putting it away was a hassle, and I had to move the bike close to a power outlet.
Now that it’s cordless, I can just grab the heat gun and warm up the sticker right there to peel it off.
I really wish more people knew about the convenience of being able to work so casually.
I’m pretty sure prices are going to go up in the future, so if you’ve been thinking about getting one, I’d recommend grabbing it before they sell out.
