When you wipe the inside of plastic parts like this, dust just “gathers”

I’ll only make the backlight LED.
I used to replace the indicators as well, but there were opinions that it was “too bright,” so I’m keeping those as bulbs.
For rubber parts, applying silicone grease provides excellent moisture retention.

Interestingly for humans
to a certain extent,“the more expensive something is, the more carefully and cleanly you use it”
Occasionally I see cheap parts cleaners scattered around here and there.
For example, fluorine grease costs nearly 20,000 yen.
Then you use the container cleanly and use every last bit of the grease.
Maybe it’s just me, but the level of care seems different?
The GSX1100S has a groove cut into the meter socket.
If you don’t properly route the wiring into this groove, there’s a possibility of it rubbing against the meter bracket and causing a short, so please be careful.

Given the era it was from, there was probably no way around it.
