CBR650F MOTO DX Spark Plug, Coolant, Fluid Change

Removing the fairings on modern FI bikes is quite a hassle.
I wonder why it has to be so difficult to remove every time.

I start by watching my own fairing removal video and working hard to get the fairings off.

Well, time passes…
I’ve somehow managed to get this far.

When there’s a lot of work involved, it’s tough on the owner too. The labor costs go up…

I protect the throttle body to minimize worries.
Before assembly, it’s essential to check with a light.

No. 1 is slightly different in color, but that’s not really a concern.
No carbon buildup at all—modern bikes are amazing.

This time I’m using MOTO DX to help it last even longer.
Honestly, spark plug replacement work on bikes like this isn’t my favorite…

I’m also replacing the air filter. It’s moderately dirty.

Leave the dirt untouched and it becomes glossy (*´ω`*)

Keeping it clean probably helps the bike feel appreciated somehow…

I’m replacing the coolant. I’ll reuse the radiator cap.

I’ve also replaced the front and rear brake fluid.

Silicone grease on the grommet is perfect!

Silicone grease is ideal because it doesn’t damage rubber. I personally prefer DuPont.
*Honestly, any brand should work fine.

The inside of the cowl is incredibly dirty. And there’s so much sand…

If you leave the inside of the cowl untouched like this, it becomes clean in no time.
Basically, I “hate getting my hands dirty,” so I end up cleaning it anyway.

I store bolts and screws separately by location.
With this many pieces, “I might have extras left over” is a possibility.
*Though that rarely happens to me…

It’s a way to save time searching and thinking.

Now it’s time for a test ride to finish up (*´ω`*)

(*´ω`*) Here are the chemicals I used this time~
