GSX1400 Inspection Fork OH Fluid Change

The weather’s nice, so there’s been a lot of foot traffic.

I ran out of time and couldn’t prepare for the inspection…
The weather looks bad anyway, so I guess it’s fine? (*´ω｀*)

So first, let me do the fork OH.

The fork oil was quite nicely blackened.
The timing was good, maybe? It was leaking too…

I’ll polish the inner tube.

The stroke areas inevitably end up shining “sparkly ☆” like a mirror.

Clearance-wise there’s no problem,
but areas that shine like a mirror surprisingly have poor sliding and negatively affect the seal (my theory).

The number of parts is super minimal… I love right-side-up forks because the work is easy too.

I’ll apply fluorine grease to the oil seal lip.

It should have good sliding properties and high oil leak suppression effects.
That’s why I’ve recently stopped using SKF.
