(*´ω`*)Good morning!
Here’s the 8 o’clock blog.
Good morning. Every day it gets a bit more mundane and tough.
I have mountains of things I want to write about, but work just keeps…
Work is a dilemma—no matter how much you try to reduce it, it just keeps increasing… mysterious, right?
Now then,
we’ve reached an era where even if the factory specification is a wet-cell battery, you can swap it for an MF battery.
Wet-cell batteries have some annoying issues.
Once you read this, you can go ahead and click to buy.
Battery prices are rising too! Please be careful!

First, the same size came out.
The size issue is now completely cleared up.
But
is it okay to just swap it as is?
Wet-cell (open-type) bikes have higher output voltage, right? That’s the standard concern.
You’d need to replace the regulator before it would work properly.
GEL batteries are fine.
Before this affordable Pro Select battery came out, WESTCO was what I used.
When I first learned about it, I thought “how convenient”
it was.
Time passed…
and now the same GEL battery has become affordable and widely available to the general public.

Liquid refilling is a hassle. The cap deteriorates.
Wet-cell batteries constantly “bubble” and release gas while charging.
This gas is highly flammable “hydrogen gas.”
The liquid inside the battery is “dilute sulfuric acid.”
Is it safe? Not at all.
With old-era batteries, there are dangers and maintenance hassles that are unthinkable by today’s standards.

The breather hose is super important.
If it’s missing,
“everything around it will rust.”
Paint peels off, iron turns bright red, and aluminum becomes crumbly.
If it breaks,
“internal pressure can’t escape, so it leaks around the cap.”
The hose has slits to release pressure.
However,
around that area
there are harnesses and frames…
Just using a wet-cell battery makes your bike deteriorate.
That’s just how it is.

Even if you lose the hose, always make sure to add slits.

No open flames!
The amount of gas generated after riding is insane.
It’s basically flammable, or rather the battery explodes…
It’s fortunate it doesn’t shoot flames, but it’s already a hellish scene…
Just thinking about it this way shows there are virtually no benefits.
By all means, let’s swap it out for a GEL battery.

It’s good to put double-sided sponge tape on the terminal nut.
In recent years, there are many cases of terminal bosses (multiple connections to the terminal).
It’s perfect for those situations too.
You won’t run into the problem of “oh no, the bolt doesn’t reach!”
Nut loss decreases,
and there’s nothing but good outcomes. Do this whenever you buy a battery.
I’m sure these few minutes will give you a better battery life…

Representative models: Z Series, GSX1100S, GS1000/E/S, CB750K, GSXR1100, GPZ900R
Just looking at these models tells you they’re old bikes.
Just swap it as is.
By adding a touch of modern technology, you’ll gain a lot more peace of mind.
