Engine won’t start?
That’s pretty stressful.
I get surprisingly many inquiries about this.

If you include all the details, the causes are endless
but
most of the time it’s actually a simple cause
“Really? Just that?”
That kind of thing happens a lot.

If the engine is healthy (E/G)
spark is firing (ignition)
and fuel (gasoline) is being supplied in good condition, the E/G should start

This time
a common battery issue

Possibility ① Battery
“A new battery = peace of mind” is not always true

Batteries have
quite a bit of variation in quality.
All manufacturers include
a 1-year warranty on their batteries
Maybe that’s why the failure rate is high?

The battery is actually a blind spot
And if you’re using cheap, unknown-brand
batteries
that risk factor increases even more.

To investigate the cause and be prepared for emergencies

Battery terminal and cable corrosion

“Battery cable”corrosion
is very common.
It’s a small thing
but it causes significant power loss.

Polish the terminal contact side and bolt insertion side surfaces.

This happens surprisingly often.

Loose battery terminal bolts

With a screwdriver, tighten firmly“Ugh!”

Also, if you often co-tighten multiple items to the battery terminal, be especially careful

By the way, for co-tightened items
“Did you extend the bolt length?”
“Is it interfering with surface contact?”
“Is it touching when removing/installing the seat?”
