Still Popular? Oil-Cooled Inazuma 1200 Rear Brake 220φ & Rigid Mount Conversion

Did he cool off on the Inazuma because he bought a Zephyr 550?

You might think so, but…
I don’t have much spare time.

Not just time, but
“space” is important too.

So I’ll work on it bit by bit
whenever I get a chance!

The 220φ conversion is done, now it’s the rigid mount conversion.

I’m using this one!
Suzuki 69721-18G00

By the way, it’s discontinued (*´ω`*)

Why use OEM parts?
Because making it from scratch is a hassle, and it won’t be widely adopted in the future.
*Now that it’s discontinued, there’s no adoption at all…

This type of support is perfect for modification and reuse.

  • The axle diameter is thick, so adjustment is easy.
  • Plenty of disc diameter options.
  • Affordable (at the time).

A classic? Suzuki OEM Caliper Support 69721-35F00

Until now,
I’ve been using this support for the 220φ conversion.
Unfortunately, this one is also discontinued…

I made a press-fit conversion collar.
It can be installed by making the collar and the swingarm boss, then welding.

I haven’t welded the boss yet,
but when finished it will look like this.

Without the torque rod, it looks much cleaner.
It also helps with weight reduction.

It’s a good option to consider during caliper overhaul or disc replacement?

Since the pitch is the same, MOS conversion is also possible?
MOS is M10, so it requires a sleeve,
and since
the caliper center is different,
it can’t be used as-is.

Once in a while I update the bike blog too!
