This is actually a pretty niche headlight mounting setup.
The round headlight bracket
clamped to the fork = terrible maintainability and a pain.
I borrowed one from GOOSE and made it “pass-through floating style” to make it a naked bike (back then)
The upper cowl bracket is from an Impulse 400
Those were good times when Suzuki parts were plentiful and easy to get… *sighs nostalgically* ( ；∀；)

There are some slight differences.
- Banjo bolt pitch 1.25
- Kawasaki resin filler (optional, use it or don’t)
- Nipple wrench size is 10mm
- Dust seal is the standard internal type
It’s cleaner and more effective than an overhaul.
The floating bushes haven’t worn down either~
The dirtier caliper is more effective to replace.
Floating-style “bush + oil seal” even when tightened firmly, it slides smoothly.
*The ones from GS1200SS and GSX-R1000K1-2 shouldn’t be used directly on GSX-R models.
Kawasaki has its own unique filler.
You don’t have to use it or not.
I’m the type who doesn’t want the piston to stick out too much so I’ll use it as is.
You can basically think of it as a minor change model with a common base.
At first glance, things like hose stoppers have been changed too.
If it were mine, I’d definitely take it apart
disassemble metal rubber and reassemble it (*´ω｀*)
This way the performance is very good from the start. *Basically it means the touch comes out easily
I also swapped the mounting bolts to Honda ones and it looks a bit? sharper. (subtle)
