Windscreens have too many holes, so basically they don’t fit well.
If you just attach an old motorcycle windscreen as-is, “it doesn’t fit well” = it flexes. Both the fairing side and windscreen side are loose (period-appropriate).
We enlarge the holes and match the dust to somehow make it fit (*´ω｀*).
Old motorcycle windscreens with “no holes” should be able to be installed more cleanly. Nothing beats fitting it to the actual part though~
The Z1R meter inner fairing configuration is disappointing.
I’m sure they absolutely didn’t want to show the bolts… probably. If it were modern, it would surely be fixed with “a clip or snap fit.”
Since it didn’t fit well and would just “flop down,” I went ahead and modified it myself.
I added more mounting positions using SUS sheet metal. *I cut out the four corners with R2.
Changed the oil and filter (*´ω｀*)
The dash cam time setting was bugged, so I fixed it. To be continued on Thursday.
