Seeing this oil-cooled engine a lot lately? Bandit 1200 Inspection Oil-cooled Maintenance

After 20 years, is oil-cooled popular again?
20-year boom cycle or something… or was it actually trendy 20 years ago?? (*’ω’*)

Anyway, it’s inspection and oil-cooled maintenance time, so let’s get to it quick.

First, let’s do the valve adjustment (*´ω`*)

The camshaft shows no seizing and is in great condition, and the inside of the head is clean too.
Good oil management and no overheating history—that’s what I call a well-maintained bike.

Let’s replace the shift oil seal

This time it was pretty firmly bonded together.
This should be good and solid now.

I also replaced the generator damper and O-ring related parts.

Let’s replace the engine damper.

Once removed, I’ll give it a good thorough cleaning.
You won’t need to come back for this again unless you ride a ton.

It’s showing some nice wear and tear.

Let’s replace the spark plugs too.
