Of course, laying it out so carbon doesn’t accumulate easily is good for the sensor.
You need to install it as shown in the diagram. You need to consider risks like sensor misreading, sensor durability, and in the case of carb bikes, gasoline flooding from overflow. With bikes, nobody installs it pointing downward… right?
By the way, the sensor is a consumable, so please note that. Compatible sensors for the BOSCH Lambda Sensor LSU4.9 type are sold cheaply, but the genuine product is best. If you start thinking about what the standard is, you’ll get really stuck.

The merits of this Yoshimura A/F are… its compact size and data logger function.
With this function, you can review the numbers afterward. You can’t just stare at the monitor while riding… It’s difficult with compact aftermarket parts, but “various temperatures/throttle opening/gear/vehicle speed/RPM” and so on can be mixed and viewed for better visualization.
By visualizing fuel tuning, you can solve mysteries faster.
This product will mainly be used for tuning with carbs or FI. Among various symptoms, “lean or rich?” you can now know in numbers those moments when you wonder. A gauge that serves as a guidepost—it makes it harder to get lost.
It can also serve as a reference for your own intuition, so that’s good.
However, if you take this at face value, you can get really stuck so please be careful. Keep in mind sensor degradation and failure too.
