This time I really put the OREGON TECHNI280 to work.
I had some doubts when I used it the other day, but I’ve pretty much cleared those up.
From my experience, it’s as amazing as everyone says! I’d say it’s a great nylon cord.

I was concerned about the cord flying off, but I figured out the cause.
I’m using an Oregon Jet Fit, which is a push-in type head.
It’s a wonderful item where you just cut to the right length and push it in,
but the compatibility with this head is extremely poor, and the cord has flown off and gotten lost several times the moment I started rotating it.
I’ve figured out a method to prevent it from happening again, so check it out.
Once you insert it and complete the setup, give it a good pull!
By doing this, it bites in firmly, so it will never come out.
This way it bites in so firmly that you can see the marks, so the cord flying off and getting lost is virtually non-existent.
However, there’s one weakness: this nylon cord is difficult to replace.
Once it bites in, you need to release the ratchet with something—just pushing won’t get it out.
If you insert another cord from the entrance side, you can remove it easily.
Basically, you need to have something to help you pull it out.
The durability and cutting performance were outstanding.
Anyway, I got the impression that the durability is extremely high.
Comparing it to the flexible blade nylon cord I used the other day under similar conditions.
I thought the flexible blade would definitely be superior, but after using it extensively, that’s not necessarily the case.
It’s easy to use and the cord durability is extremely high—that’s the impression I got.
I also tried it on tangled grass around tree stumps.
In other words, using it in a way where the cord hits the stump repeatedly.
With the flexible blade, it gets shorter and shorter until it finally breaks,
but with the Techni 280, I could cut grass aggressively without worrying.
When will it finally run out? That’s the feeling.
By the way, I didn’t do that intense weed cutting, so it’s a bit of an exaggeration,
but the durability is quite to my liking and you can enjoy extended use.
Aside from the fact that cord replacement is somewhat tedious, I think it’s a pretty good item.
Depending on the cord length and usability, the battery life is also excellent—it’s a nylon cord that left a very good impression.
I was so impressed by the cutting feel that a dragonfly even landed on my string trimmer. It was such a great day.
The sound is quiet, the durability is excellent, and you can cut grass aggressively, so if the timing is right, give it a try.
