Well, things are getting a bit hectic before Silver Week. Somehow the rear suspension made it just in time, so I’ll keep bolting things together and moving forward with the work.
Interestingly, Silver Week doesn’t seem to get the world too rushed, which is nice.
A bit of a niche FG rear shock
It’s a rear shock from FG that you don’t see very often. When it comes to FG…
The owner arranged for an overhaul.
I cleaned up the surrounding area and greased up the linkage as well.
Brake fluid should be changed at least once every two years
Brake fluid doesn’t circulate from top to bottom all the time. The color of the reservoir tank isn’t necessarily the same as what’s inside the caliper. I think the caliper side is probably dirtier since it gets more heat.
It looks visible but you can’t really see it well, so change it regularly. If you leave it too long, it gets all gunky and the inside rusts, which is bad. Don’t underestimate brake fluid.
I use Shell Advance engine oil
Changing the engine oil and oil filter together feels great. If the oil filler cap feels tight when you tighten it, replace the O-ring
I check the drive chain, battery, and control systems
This time the mileage hasn’t increased much, so I’ll wrap it up with soft maintenance. Then I’ll lubricate the control systems and check the tightness of the undercarriage and call it good.
I don’t know why, but I have a habit of checking around the fuel filler. Same with the car—if this area isn’t clean, I just don’t like it.
Please wipe it down once in a while Then we do the inspection and we’re done. Made it just in time!
