Good evening, everyone. It’s already June 3rd. I haven’t been doing any motorcycle maintenance, so I’m worried I’ll forget everything.
I’ve been spending every day organizing, tidying, and making things, so my sense of what day it is has gotten fuzzy. Actually, working would be easier. I want to get back to my normal routine soon.
I don’t have any motorcycle content, but I’m writing this blog hoping it might be helpful. This time, since buying a proper projector screen is expensive, I tried using the rumored blackout roll screen and it turned out to be amazing.
At first, I was thinking about buying a proper projector screen, but… they were all in the tens of thousands of yen range, so I got cold feet.
How do I put this… “buying something that hurts when you poke it” Besides, I’m not watching it for long hours every day, so I didn’t want to spend too much. Honestly, something decent is fine.
Since it’s a log house, I can secure it firmly and easily anywhere.
It’s 1800 mm wide, so it’s pretty spacious. What I thought was brilliant about the installation was “you first fix the quick-release attachment to the ceiling or wall,”
and once the fixing is done, you just snap it in place and installation is complete. Removing it is also quick, so it’s easy to clean. If you want to change the mounting position later, it’s a breeze too.
I think anything simple and easy to attach and detach is wonderful.
It blocks light amazingly well! Slightly vinyl-like?
It provides solid, complete blackout, so I felt my expectations were really high. The person who first came up with this idea for around 7,000 yen is a genius. *By the way, I referenced this from someone else’s blog or something.
With the lights dimmed, the image looks wonderfully crisp. In our previous apartment, we were projecting onto embossed wallpaper, so we were watching a pretty poor-quality image.
This time we’re projecting onto something really smooth, so it looks incredibly clear. Our home doesn’t have a television monitor. Lately, projector performance has become so good that a projector you can pull out only when you want to watch is perfect for us.
Without a monitor or TV, the room itself ends up looking very simple.
If you want a simple layout at home, a projector is definitely the way to go.
If you’re someone who wants the TV on all day long, it might not be a good fit. We watch maybe an hour a day, if that.
It honestly seems odd to have a monitor sitting in the home just for that. Everyone probably wants to see images clearly and large. Projectors these days have seriously amazing performance. With decent brightness, you can see things clearly.
I initially rented a projector from Rentio and ended up buying it outright. I had no intention of buying one, but the performance was so good that I was moved to buy it. *By the way, at that time, it was cheaper than anywhere else I looked, even though it was brand new.
