Today I spent the whole day cleaning up, and before I knew it, the day was over. Deciding on the layout is taking quite a bit of time.
Even after we settle on a layout, we keep running into situations where we’re short on materials or tools, and it just eats up more time. Without rushing or panicking, I want to “finish it as a highly satisfying factory.”
For better or worse, I arrive within a 10-second walk from home. I spend more time in my boots than anything else, it seems.
Since the morning sun comes in pretty strong, I applied a 3M film to the entrance the other day. The effect is quite high—the temperature feels like it dropped 20 to 30 percent. I’m logging temperature and humidity, so I’ll share that data with you soon.
Since we don’t have a tall ladder, we can only install it where we can reach. Looking at the photos, you can really see how effective the film is.
If you think the sunlight coming in is harsh, the film is really effective. By the way, before we applied it (before the move), the temperature used to climb into the high 30s Celsius… *That doesn’t happen at all now.
I’m torn over where to place the motorcycle lift. (*´ω｀*)
I’m deciding the position by repeatedly imagining taking things in and out, rolling around on a chair while working, and so on. Creating a layout with no wasted space is important, so the thinking time ends up being the longest part. Plus, everything is heavy, so just moving things takes some effort, which is why I’m thinking it through carefully.
That said, when two lifts are lined up side by side, it really looks the part, doesn’t it? If you run a shop without a motorcycle lift, you should get one installed soon before you hurt your back.
This area is still temporary, but I’ve set it up in an “island-style” configuration. By doing this, I’ve arranged the layout so we can handle it even if the number of bikes we’re storing suddenly increases.
The ceiling is too high… I can’t reach the power rail.
I thought the ceiling was high, but… it really is high. Since we don’t have a tall ladder, I ordered another one today. This keeps happening, and I’m just spending money left and right. ( ；∀；)
