No matter where you ride, there are no traffic lights or congestion, so you can ride your motorcycle stress-free. Plus, you’re in touring mode just one second after leaving home, so “the perfect timing” to ride your bike.
I was thinking I should hold off on riding until the shop is cleaned up, but… When your brain gets tired from thinking about things, riding a bike really clears your head. Just circling around for about an hour refreshes your mood.
I’m also building a route where I can safely do test rides in the future.
Day 1 The usual? Takahide Farm from the back—it was muddy
The usual? Takahide Farm I’ve been there twice before we moved.
Since it’s a farm, the smell is pretty strong, but they have a café and lunch service, so it’s highly recommended. You can meet the cows too, so it’s a pretty fun place.

An old guy, a bike, and a café don’t photograph well
I ordered iced coffee and gelato (cookie &cream/milk). They said if you register for LINE you get an off-coupon and a milk gift, so I registered.
By the way, I had my café on the bench by the entrance, but the smell was stronger on this side. Even after I got home, the farm scent lingered in the back of my nose.
Takahide Farm had so little signal that my Instagram post didn’t go through, and I kept tapping and ended up like this.
Chef Mikuni’s seal of approval? Suntory Natural Water Sparkling Lemon is my recent craze! I’m not that blown away, but for something you can buy at a convenience store, it’s pretty solid
Day 2 Unmanned farm stand and Uoheita
Ideally, I prefer produce that doesn’t use much pesticide. I want to eat vegetables with real umami. So I’m constantly having meetings with Google Maps and Gemini to research various options.
The store sells various live fish. I looked around, but fish really do have poor yield, don’t they? One type isn’t enough, and two types gets pretty pricey. It might be good for barbecues or group parties though.
It’s quite impressive and customers were trickling in.
I wanted to go to a café but they all close at 5 p.m. ( ；∀；)
So this old guy just threw the bike on a farm road and took photos with the fields in the background. . . . . It’s so spacious everywhere and feels amazing.
Even when it’s hot during the day, radiative cooling makes it pretty chilly at night. I’ve been noticing lately that this area is really different from Tokyo.
So I headed back today as well. I did some practice memorizing the route by riding the same road twice. I’m thinking I’ll do some patrols at the right time.
