The “GORDON MILLER” step ladder is currently discontinued. It seems they’ve switched to a more modern plastic version.
That said, this step ladder is an OEM product. The same design is sold under various brands… The only difference is “color and stickers.” But perhaps those design elements are actually quite important…

How I got it: While patrolling Yahoo Auctions, I miraculously discovered it and successfully won the bid!
Favorite points: Unlike typical silver “construction site” ladders, it has a military-like color scheme and rugged design. It looks absolutely perfect in my log house and factory!

It’s a step ladder, but actually the seat is the main use
You can sit on it, or sit on the first step with your feet on it. You don’t want to sit on the ground, right?
Alsowhen I need to replace the nylon cord, I sometimes want to raise the grass trimmer a bit. It’s convenient for that too, and great for cutting grass at slightly higher spots.
It’s also good for temporarily placing batteries and tools, and besides grass cuttingit’s useful for loading and unloading items from higher shelves at the shop. With so many usesit’s almost too convenient—like getting five benefits in one.
Getting several hours of sunlight daily is really important
In Tokyo I worked in a cave-like tenant space where you couldn’t tell if it was day or night.
Doing work like this at home or nearby while getting sunlight is incredibly refreshing. *Though it’s difficult if you don’t like it in the first place… To refresh yourself, this kind of physical work is good, or you can ride your bike casually for about 20 kilometers and come back to work. This kind of lifestyle really is great—that’s what I realized after moving here.
Everyone’s ideal life is different. I think it’s meaningful to live a life with as much satisfaction as possible. Making decisions while young is better. And while there will be regrets, merits and demerits are two sides of the same coin. It’s not just about meritsbut as long as the total comes out positive, that’s what matters.
It’s definitely better to have fewer regrets like “if only I had done that back then…” With melancholy regards
