The well-worn condition has a depth like a leather product that’s been carefully maintained.
Basically, I tend to prefer things that are somewhat worn but polished and well-used.
I completely understand the desire to artificially age new items.
Even with tools, the used parts become shiny and worn,
or the paint chips off – that kind of patina is unique and irreplaceable, which is really nice.
The specs are quite unconventional and have that vintage production racer vibe, which is cool.
The wheels are different brands front and rear with different colors.
The exhaust is left-side exit.
The oil cooler is laid out under the seat.
Subtly it’s frame-mounted,
and the cylinder head is J-spec – the more you look at it, the more you see the strong personality in the specs, and it’s really interesting to observe.
I was a bit startled to hear it was heading to Gifu like this.
Seeing this made me realize I really need to get the GS 1000 running soon.
