Actually selling well! Peace of mind with increasing repro parts for oil-cooled! GSX-R1100L M-TECH main harness replacement, switch replacement, and more

This is a request to install all the parts we’ve gathered.
Recently, M-TECH in Kyoto has been offering a rich lineup of repro parts for oil-cooled bikes! So we can feel confident.
First, let’s replace the main harness.

When filming, the “footage ends up incomplete”

M-TECH main harness comes in 3 types: early face/mid face/RK.
In other words, there’s no final version… Since there aren’t major changes, adaptation is possible. *Do your best

First, we’ll undo the cable ties and prepare to remove it.
The unit is clean, so the work goes smoothly—we’re grateful!

Does the harness have a center?

I just think this on my own, but… Suzuki harnesses have white tape wrapped in certain places.
*Not the part number ones
I get the impression that this somehow divides front and back for positioning. *Just my opinion
Well, as long as the layout works out, it’s fine, so don’t worry too much about it.

Harness replacement on carb bikes is easy (*´ω｀*)

Harness replacement itself isn’t difficult.
What takes time is “organizing aftermarket parts”

There’s virtually no bike with completely stock electrical systems.
We keep worrying about where to tap power, how to route things, and endlessly wiring everything.

M-TECH main harness has optional power sources front and rear

Front: Near the ignition coil
Rear: Just before the tail light

Front is ideal for mounting a digital tachometer / Rear is ideal for mounting an ETC
We’re grateful that there’s less and less for us to do (*´ω｀*)

Always replace the main ground when doing this

Well, there’s nothing wrong with using parts from other vehicles.
It’s just a matter of length, shape, and connector compatibility.

If you search around for other vehicles, you’ll find models with lots of black connectors (ground).
Easy ground access? Want to tap ground? Using parts from other vehicles is an option too.

I’m the type who moves the main ground forward.

Whenever we have a chance, we want to clean it, right? Since it improves serviceability, moving it forward is standard practice.

THE M-TECH throttle cable gets replaced too.

GSX-R models can be replaced EASILY without removing the carb.
If you’re removing the tank anyway, you might as well replace it then too.

Before replacing, be sure to “check the outer and inner cable lengths.”

Suzuki has many similar cables.
The products are inspected and packaged, but the technician must also double-check by doing so
both the customer and the work should turn out well.

The “mounting groove on the carb side faces upward”

With a thin minus screwdriver, you can easily pop the ferrule in with a quick push! But here’s one thing:

The throttle cable fixing usually won’t fit with a standard wrench.
You either need to make a wrench like in the image or remove the diaphragm cover —those are your two options.
