The final model with a rigid engine and twin plugs.
I had one of these too (*´ω`*) They’re really nice, aren’t they? Sigh.
It’s a light job, so let’s move forward.
Time to change the engine oil

These days it’s easy to get filters from places like Daytona, which is really nice.
I wonder if there was some kind of pressure back in the day?

We have about six types of filter wrenches here.
Most of them are Suzuki 66.5 though.
Looks like it’s seeping from somewhere?

For now, I’ve cleaned it up thoroughly and we’ll keep an eye on it.

I’m guessing it’s probably the oil pressure switch around the primary drain area.
I’ve wrapped paper towels around it, so if it gets wet, that’s the culprit.
Please keep an eye on it.
Carburetor choke adjustment is…

It’s actually broken clean off…
The structure isn’t great and given the year, that’s just how it is.
We’ll order the parts and you can reach out again. For now, I’ve hung it up.
The fluid is DOT5 silicone-based

Confusingly, DOT5 is silicone-based
while DOT4 and 5.1 are glycol-based cousins.
It’s written on the cap, so don’t mix them up!

Fluid exchange complete!
