Finally, this Twitter (X) account of mine got monetized! (*´ω｀*)
I’m truly grateful for this… It took quite a while, I must say.
Now, honestly, whether it’s monetized or not doesn’t really matter much…
When I researched the process until payment, I couldn’t find anyone in the same situation?
Is that just how it is…? No, that can’t be right.
Eventually, the earnings were reflected , so I’d like to briefly explain the process and flow

That’s probably all there is to it.
After qualifying for Twitter’s ad revenue sharing, you need to fill in various information.
*Tax-related matters
In my case, I forgot to set up the payment account at the end, which I think delayed the process.
2/11 Account entry → 3/2 Earnings confirmed
Even though I entered the information on 2/11, until 3/1 the status showed “Processing” or “On Hold” and such.
At that point, I thought
“Earning from ads alone is impossible”
Do you basically need to do subscriptions or something to earn…?
But I really wasn’t sure how it actually worked.
I couldn’t find clear information even after searching, so I just “left it alone and the earnings were confirmed the next month” —that was the flow.
Twitter (X) → Stripe Express has a lag in the flow
Twitter (X) → Stripe Express transfers the funds to your account.
Perhaps because of this, the reflection might not be real-time.
If you’re used to Google AdSense and such, you’ll definitely be like “Huh?”
Patience is key.
Monetization has quite a high barrier
YouTube is relatively easier.
Videos are completely artificial, so surpassing the subscriber threshold is relatively straightforward.
Twitter (X) is information-driven and moves fast.
I had an account before, but “barely used it”— I thought Instagram was good enough.
Once I actually started using it, it was “completely different” and the speed of information flow and reach are incomparable.
*Not that I’m trying to spread anything in particular,
Eligibility Requirements
- Creators earning revenue on X must meet the following requirements:
- Reside in a country where the X monetization program is available.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Have an X account that has been actively used for at least 3 months.
- All profile information must be displayed, including account name, bio, profile picture, and header image.
- Your email address must be verified. For information on how to verify your email address, see here .
- Your account must be protected by two-factor authentication. For information on how to enable two-factor authentication, see here .
- You must not be designated as a state-affiliated media account.
- You must be in good standing with X (specifically, you must meet the following conditions):
- You must not have a history of repeatedly violating X’s User Agreement or X’s monetization policies.
- You must not have had your advertiser rights revoked on X for violating X’s advertising policy, or your Amplify publisher rights revoked for violating the Amplify Preroll Guidelines.
- You must have a verified Stripe account linked.
- Additional conditions for subscriptions (for details on subscriptions, see here )
- You must have 500 or more active followers.
- You must have posted content in the past 30 days.
- You must comply with the Subscription Creator Terms of Service.
Looking at it carefully, there are quite a few requirements… But these 3 points are the most important
- Be an X Premium (formerly Twitter Blue) subscriber or a verified organization
- Have 500 or more followers
- Have 5 million or more impressions on posts from the past 3 months
5 million impressions sounds impossible, right?
Divided by about 90 days, that’s 55,000 impressions per day.
In reality,
“How many impressions per post? 100 or 1,000?” If that’s the case, it’s a daunting prospect.
Continuously providing useful and interesting information
—that seems to be the only way.
Since you can’t monetize without paying for the blue checkmark, that barrier is also high.
I’d recommend building up your presence without the checkmark first. *Though I went with the blue checkmark first…
