It’s 8 o’clock blog time.
There’s an extremely convenient tool called an impact wrench.
In our line of work, we often need to loosen large nuts.
It’s effective for high torque, seized bolts, and stuck fasteners.
As tools went cordless, I bought an impact wrench too, but

was just too much.
“Too powerful” “Too heavy”
Stronger is safer than weaker, right?
That’s what I thought.
When it arrived… compared to the air-powered version,
“Big and heavy”
Oh no, did I mess up…?
First impression.
I thought maybe an air-powered impact would have been better.
The socket size doesn’t come up much on motorcycles
3/4-19sq
For us, it’s usually just 1/2 at best.
We don’t even have adapters.
This socket size tells you everything.
Seriously robust (´ー｀)
Manly simple low-medium-high
Nothing more, nothing less—a wonderful finish.
Without battery it’s “2.888kg”
With battery it’s over 3kg… that’s incredible ( ；∀；)
It’s a bit heavy, or rather quite heavy.
Feeling this size…
By the way, “it’s incredible”
So far, I haven’t had any trouble loosening things.
However,
if you don’t follow proper procedures,
“there’s a risk of breaking” the bolt.
It’s that powerful.
Using an impact wrench for snug tightening followed by a torque wrench
isn’t really suited to this level of power.
However, “nothing that won’t come loose or loosen anymore” so it’s been very helpful.
I’d also like to try the next size down, TW700DZ (600Nm)
or maybe TW300DZ (300Nm)…
You can’t know without trying, so I wish I could rent one?
I think about that a lot.
