The paint job finished today, so let’s install the fenderless (tray) setup!
Cathodic electrocoat painting (*´ω｀*)
We typically finish parts like this with cathodic coating.
The film is so thin that bolts can pass right through as-is. Plus, it’s quick turnaround and low cost.
Simply the best.
Even though the coating adheres to the bolts, you can tighten them normally without any issues.
And the uniform, thin coating is just fantastic.
Routing the wiring took more effort than expected. That’s just how wiring work goes, right?
I also swapped out the tail light assembly.
After a quick test ride and the invoice, we’re done! ♪
Looks like it didn’t need replacing after all…
For now, that’s one milestone down!
