If you’re the type to disassemble stems, I think it’s worth installing.
It looks like this.
Suzuki’s “4-groove” becomes “6-groove” so “Suzuki’s genuine tools can no longer be used.”
The top bearing cover doesn’t have a clearance protrusion, so you need to create one arbitrarily on a lathe.
In this way, it needs to float slightly above the top cover and be free.
This area requires arbitrary adjustment, which is why it’s so niche.

So what’s actually convenient about it?
By making it double, “it resists loosening.”
And you can apply light “preload.” When adjusting steering,
“the stem nut tightening has less influence.”
With a single nut, the stem nut tightening inevitably has an influence.
The point is “top nut” and “adjustment nut” need to coexist.
